What is HypnoBirthing®?
HypnoBirthing®, the Mongan Method, is a "holistic" approach to childbirth. It considers the psychological and emotional well-being of the mother, birth partner, and baby, as well as their physical well-being. The philosophy and techniques can be applied to any birth setting, whether at home, in the hospital, or at a birthing center. The techniques can also be used outside of birthing to help with managing stress and anxiety in daily life.
Our society has adopted a "medical model" of childbirth that is laced with fear. As a result, many women have anxiety and fear regarding pregnancy and childbirth, which can negatively affect their birthing experience. However, pregnancy and childbirth are natural processes that need not be feared. Fear causes tension in the body and prevents the body from birthing the way nature intended. Many moms after learning the HypnoBirthing techniques, experience less discomfort during labor and childbirth due to being more relaxed and equipped with the proper knowledge of how to work with their bodies during childbirth.
HypnoBirthing® is a program consisting of deep relaxation, self-hypnosis, special breathing techniques, visualizations, and childbirth education. This program also involves learning how to release fears (related to childbirth and becoming parents). These techniques will help you learn how to deeply relax so that you, your birth companion, and your baby can experience a safe, calm, loving, more comfortable, and peaceful birth just as nature intended.

Class Information:
All HypnoBirthing® courses are taught online, allowing both you and your birth partner to participate in these valuable classes from the comfort of your home. Classes are taught by Jennifer Molinari, LCPC, NCC, CHBE, through her separate practice, Love-Centered Birth HypnoBirthing®.
The course consists of five 2.5- to 3-hour classes. It includes 15 hours of class time, a textbook, many guided relaxations, self-hypnosis scripts, and a wide array of helpful tools to help you, your partner, and your baby feel more comfortable so you can experience the joy and miracle of childbirth. The class costs $525 per couple (including materials.) After the last class, you will receive an insurance reimbursement form (although there are no reimbursement guarantees.)
Why is the Course Spread Over 5 Weeks?
As expecting parents, your time is valuable, and a single-weekend childbirth class might initially seem appealing. However, a quick, intensive course doesn’t provide the in-depth preparation needed for such an important event.
HypnoBirthing focuses on self-hypnosis and deep relaxation—powerful techniques for natural, instinctive birthing. These are learned skills that develop gradually with consistent practice. The time between sessions allows you to condition your mind and body to respond in ways that make HypnoBirthing ® – The Mongan Method so highly effective. This is why the program is taught over five 2.5-hour sessions—unfortunately, there’s no shortcut to learning and achieving this level of preparation.
